On the heels of hiring the worst coach possible for his young team, Michael Jordan has to be kicking himself today. After seeing their seasons end much earlier than they wanted to, Mike D’Antoni is on his way out in Phoenix, and the Mavericks just fired Avery Johnson.
Think those two would have made a difference for the strange-looking team MJ has put together in Charlotte?

Pretty good post. Although I gotta disagree with you. Larry Brown is the best coach for the Bobcats, he is a teacher, and that is what they need.

The Larry Brown I remember held grudges against his young players when they struggled and benched them for extended periods of time. Assuming the Bobcats keep Emeka Okafor, Brown has to deal with one of the young players he benched on the 2004 Olympic team as the centerpiece of the franchise.
Jordan should have waited until the first round was over to see if there were any trigger reactions from teams who were unhappy with how things played out, like Dallas and Phoenix. That’s what I think, anyway.
