Right after I watched the Celts drop one to Cleveland, I checked ESPN and came across a rumour that said Shaq could be going to the Suns for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks. A few hours later that rumour turned into a rumoured done deal, pending a Shaq physical Wednesday in Phoenix to examine his hip.

I’m not sure what to think of this. On paper it works, but in reality, Shaq’s been lugging his 300 lb. ass all season. Whether he’s injured, just old, or half-assing it remains to be seen. If it revitalizes the big guy, the Lakers and Kobe could be overshadowed by Shaq once again. Can you imagine a halfway competent Shaq with Amare up front? And the Suns without the perpetual bitching of Shawn Marion? It’ll be interesting. You know, provided Shaq doesn’t have the ultimate old man injury.
